Full Description
Large green, irregular sub-quadrilateral listed by Peter Warner (1975) between White House Farm and Strawberry Lane. Part occupied by Stradbroke Town Farm [Town Farm and White House Farm and Red House Farm are all early Listed Buildings and were probably on the outside edge of the suggested green! - HBSMR map redrawn accordingly, 26 July 2012]. Site of Stradbroke Green? (R1).
Not shown on Hodskinson's 1783 map (nor are the early buildings though).
HBSMR Boundaries defined approximately after OS 1880s map.
Tithe and any other early maps need checking, although visually it appears any green was more likely to be further to the SW than suggested by Warner (note ponds etc and overall shape of boundaries).
