Full Description

Polished flint axe, 8 inches long, grey flint. Grid reference as mapped by Grace Briscoe (S1)(R1), also recorded less accurately as (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S2)(S3). Probably same as `Fine Polished Axe Oct 57 Mr Gathercole' transcribed on 6 inch record map by A R Edwardson. The marked findspot is (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S4). However this could also refer to LKH 085. Further information in G Briscoe archive?
Note: saddle quern and stone (polisher?) with opposing semi-spherical hollows from ? same field - LKH 084.
