Full Description
Scatter of pottery and metalwork. Coins including denarius of Elagabalus (AD 218-222) and C3-mid C4 bronze coins. Three brooches, good condition, all mid C1 types. Small group of pottery including samian sherd and ?flagon body sherds. Bronze pin and other Rom or later fragments. Found metal detecting (S1).
April 1988: Fieldwalking whole field prior to construction of Long Melford bypass located 132 Rom sherds and 7 (Rom?) brick/tile. For details see LMD 071 (Rom).
