Full Description
Four-storey smock mill in working condition(S1), on site of post mill (S2).
Dated 1807, it is said to have been moved from Slough in Buckinghamshire. Ceased work by wind circa 1915 and sails removed in 1920. Repairs by Hunt of Soham in 1914 ensured the mills survival and it was engine driven for many years. Restored 1962 when dummy sails and fantail fitted. There are two pairs of stones and the cap is beehive shaped (S1).
