October 2004: 6 evaluation trenches (Tr 210-215) on either side of existing A11 east of Mildenhall parish (& warren) boundary, prior to dualling of A11 between Barton Mills and Thetford. No archaeology identified. Details in (S1).

Full Description
October 2004: 6 evaluation trenches (Tr 210-215) on either side of existing A11 east of Mildenhall parish (& warren) boundary, prior to dualling of A11 between Barton Mills and Thetford. No archaeology identified, though 2 undated colluvial deposits, up to 45cm in depth, noted in westernmost trenches at base of hill.
