Full Description
Monitoring of footing trenches revealed two ditches. One ditch was aligned approximately NE-SW and contained topsoil and late 20th debris suggesting it had been recently filled in. The second ditch ran approx NW-SE and is undated. Its alignment is coincidental with a nearby boundary and it is perpendicular with the first ditch. These are in tun on a similar or perpendicular alignments to a nearby arm of the moat suggesting a possibly medieval or later date for these features (S1).
