Summary

Monitoring of a service trench revealed no archaeological features or finds. December 2009: Archaeological monitoring of footing trenches for the house and a series of trenches excavated for a ground source heating system. Within these, two possible parallel ditches were recorded, one contained Late 11th to 12th century pottery, whilst the other yielded 13th-14th century pottery. The presence of domestic wares is evidence for domestic occupation nearby.

Monitoring of a service trench revealed no archaeological features or finds (S1).

December 2009: Archaeological monitoring of footing trenches for the house and a series of trenches excavated for a ground source heating system. Within these, two possible parallel ditches were recorded, one contained Late 11th to 12th century pottery, whilst the other yielded 13th-14th century pottery. The presence of domestic wares is evidence for domestic occupation nearby (S2).
