Possible rectangular moat suggested by tithe mapping (S1). Listed Building in interior.
Church (ADH 004) adjoins to SE.
A 5 1/2 acre manor in 1066 held by Wuffin then the de Vere from 1086-1462, 15 39-1609. 1609 Sir E Coke, 1764 Sir J. Vanneck, 1909 Sir T Lennard. The Hall is W. of the church. Most likely location. A moated site is located at site ALD 006. (S2)
