Full Description
Monitoring of a test pit revealed a single grave and unstratified Roman finds (S1).
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2004 (S2)
Archaeological monitoring of a trial hole was undertaken in Wixoe following a geological survey by Entec in November 2004 recorded a grave cut, aligned roughly north to south with associated human remains. Fragments of humerus were found at a depth of c.1.1m below ground level alongside associated human skull fragments and unstratified Roman pottery was also found (S3).
