Full Description

Slight E-W bank, circa 1m wide, 20cm high on S side of ride in compartment 5325. Shown as boundary of arable field on 1884 OS map (S1).

October 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
The possible boundary bank discussed above (see above) was not seen on the sources consulted as part of this project. Further sections of bank to the east and west of the monument polygon can be seen on the visualised lidar data (S2) and may relate to the possible boundary bank. However, these banks have not been mapped as they fall outside of the scope of this survey. The possible boundary bank is in close reaction to a large area of braided trackways, banks and ditches (WSW 213).
J.Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 5th October 2019.
