Full Description
Cropmark of large (circa 70m diameter) semi-circular ditch (?) abutting the SE side of the River Dove (S1). Looks artificial, with dark interior, suggesting water-related feature (or very low-lying quarry?) - use and date unknown. Also visible, though not as such a regular semi-circle, on circa 1946 RAF air-photo.
Within Hoxne New Park/Oakley Park (see HXN 022). HBSMR plotted to join river but cropmark only visible to SE side (tree covered nearer river).
Note: a watermill (OKY 019) and leat exists on opposite bank of river - possibly connected?
