1271/72, grant for market and fair for John de Ramseye.
1310/11, grant of market and fair for Thomas de Verley to be held on 7 acres in Saxmundham on ascension day.
1679, described as 'little market' with 'pretty full market on Thursdays'.
1792, market held on Thursday (S1, S2).
