Medieval town of Haverhill, defined from historic maps and locations of listed buildings and Hodskinson's map of 1783 (S3).
1086: market in existence.
Described as a market town in the17th century.
1679: small market on Wednesday, later moved to Friday in 1844 (S1, S2).
