Full Description

A small evaluation (11 trenches) covering 1.2ha of land to the east of Gallows Hill, Hadleigh. Following geophysical survey, a series of trenches were excavated in order to ascertain and characterise the nature of the archaeological resource. A single ditch of post-medieval date was revealed, containing CBM (floor and roof tile). This feature was not identified in the geophysical survey, and none of the features identified by the geophysical survey proved to be real (S1).
