Full Description
Roman coin found. Checked at Ipswich Aug 1949 (S1).
On his 6 inch OS map Basil Brown notes that one Rom coin, checked at Ipswich August 1949, not sited 1-10-50. In his records he makes much the same comment but nowhere is there a description of the coin or whether it was returned to finder. The coin was shown to Basil Brown and R Taylor at Ipswich Museum and he reported the find to the Archaeology Branch of the OS (S2).
