Full Description

November 2009. Two trenches were excavated to investigate the area of a proposed new tarmac car park to serve the recently built visitor centre on the site. An undated pit feature and a ditch of later Iron Age date were identified, demonstrating that the archaeological activity found under the visitor centre does extend through this new area (S2).

2010, Archaeological monitoring in advance of the construction of a new visitors centre at the Suffolk Punch Trust in Hollesley Bay revealed several features of prehistoric/Iron Age date (S1).
