Full Description

2010: Evaluation and monitored stripping prior to the construction of a reservoir on land northwest of Great Finborough Parish Church located a post-medieval boundary ditch present on the first edition Ordnance Survey map, in addition to an earlier field system of uncertain date, and some shallow modern linear features. A small fragment of prehistoric pottery was found within the undated ditch system, though it appears to be residual (S1). Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2010 (S2).
