Full Description

2010: Evaluation trenching revealed an area of modern pitting plus unstratified sherds of Roman period pottery. Subsequent monitoring of ground works confirmed that the site did contain evidence of later Iron Age and earlier Roman settlement type activity with three ditches and one pit containing sherds of pottery including Samian ware (S1). Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2010 (S2).
