Full Description
(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) Scatter of Rom pottery now in Ipswich museum. More Rom pottery and half a melon bead from same site in possession of (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1)(R1).
Pottery scatter(s), mainly grey ware, some samian. No building debris. Possible concentration at(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Patches of red burnt clay and burnt flints with both Romano-British and Med sherds around - see ADB 010; also at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
It is said that pots containing cremations were found in construction of house at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), which were sent to UCH, London and are now lost (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). ? might relate to ADB 003?
ADB 003 and ADB 009 within the same area.
