Full Description
An archaeological evaluation of a housing development site uncovered a series of small ditches, one containing roman pottery, animal bone and oyster shell, a second containing a piece of medieval pottery and another containing a single flint flake. It appears that there was low-level Roman occupation of this site, which is located directly east of a settlement associated with a Roman shore fort (S1).
Originally FEX 083 but changed to FEX 290 in Dec 2011 due to duplication of site numbers
