Full Description

2010: Evaluation trenching revealed Neolithic, features in the northern and eastern areas of the site. These features were interpreted as possibly relating to an enclosure (S2). Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2010 (S3).

An archaeological excavation was carried out after evaluation on the site confirmed the presence of archaeological deposits of Roman, Neolithic and Medieval date that would be damaged by the planned development. Identified features included medieval clay extraction pits, field boundary/enclosure, a small post-structure, and Neolithic pits, as well as post medieval and modern features (S1 S2). See also Med.
