Full Description

Great Green, Cockfield. Formerly Broad Green (S1), named Great Green by 1837 OS mapping. Large triangular green in good condition - several Listed Buildings around edges and some green edge ditch survival on NW, N and SE sides. Hodskinson (S1) mapping shows the grren as tailing off towards the E along Felsham Road but extending further than at present (to the parish boundary). It is not clear how accurate his mapping was in this instance.
