Full Description

Scheduled cropmark complex including field system, trackways, ring ditches HLY 022, HLY 023 and enclosures HLY 024, HLY 028, HLY 025, HLY 026, HLY 027 (S1)(S2). Adjacent to BOY 002.
A complex of rectilinear enclosures. RB? settlement. A fairly unusual crop mark type in E Suffolk area (S3).
1974: partial excavation to SW - see Mes, IA & Rom.
1981: Area ploughed and under sugar beet, nothing visible on ground (S3).

September 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The field system, ring ditches, trackways and enclosures described above are visible as cropmarks on additional aerial photographs (S4)-(S14), along with numerous possible pit features. Additional ditches were visible in the northern corner of the site, centred on TM 3753 4603, and have been sketch-mapped from a photo that was not rectified due to insufficient control points.
