Full Description
Collapse during demoliton of Cornish and Lloyds Agricultural Engineers site on the corner of Chalk Road and Risbygate Street at unspecified time during c20 - possibly due to known mine shafts in the area.
Collapse during the demolition of the site of local agricultrual engineers, Cornish and Lloyds (labelled as Iron & Brass Foundry on 1920s map) in the 20th century. Cornish and Lloyds occupied the complete corner of Chalk Road and Risbygate Street for more than 150 feet either way. The collapse during the demoliton aws possibly due to tunnels relating to chalk mines of an unknown date in the local area.
