Full Description
An English Heritage Level 2 building recording was undertaken of a pair of single-storey buildings off Low Road, Denham. They once formed part of an accommodation area for airmen and officers of the 336th squadron, part of the 95th Bomb Group based at RAF Horham. Both structures appeared to be ablution blocks that contained showers and washrooms. Text painted on two of the doors to the larger building indicated that it was for use by Sergeants and airmen. A trio of 'Stanton' type air raid shelters were also recorded (S1).
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2013 (S2)
