Full Description

Resistivity Survey revealed various features including field ditches, an enclosure and a rectangular building possibly of Roman date(villa?) or medieval (church?) (S1)
Draft includes CHD 012 (NEO) and CHD 017. Field Walking has produced mainly roman finds including pottery and roof and hypocaust tile.

Extension of magnetometry survey coverage at a Roman site at Chediston, including re-surveying of areas previously investigated. Existing features were clarified, and the site of a possible bath house or Roman building debris was identified by the river. The survey confirmed that the principal activity was at the western end of the main field (S2).
