Full Description

"Early monastic establishment and seat (see) of St Felix granted by King Sigberht. Possibly sited in or near the Roman fort." Related to Dommoc; Dummuc; Dommucae civitas in (S2)(R1)(S3). Alternatively "The site of this first priory is considered to be in the vicinity of Brackenbury Fort (FEX 088) and the Old Abbey Close (called Priory Meadow until beginning of this century) is located in the Golf Road, Marcus Road and Priory Road region" (S1). Destroyed by sea.
