Full Description

2014: The development plot is located within a medieval moated site, but the archaeological watching brief encountered only modern made ground layers, services and the base of a possible bread oven abutting the south-eastern wall of the extant dwelling. Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2014 (S1).

2014: Base of a 19th century chimney idenitified during monitoring at Denham Hall. The chimney is abutting the south-eastern wall of the hall. The dearth of earlier evidence may be due to the apparently extensive re-landscaping of the moated site undertaken in the late 1980's (S2).
