Full Description

Excavation in advance of the construction of the by-pass in 1993 identified LIA ditches and pits containing Iron Age and Late Iron Age-Early Roman pottery. The pottery was transitional hand-made Iron Age and wheel made Late Iron Age pottery (S2). Also see MED.
