Full Description

Fragment of a parallel sided bronze blade, 55mm long x 26mm wide x 9mm thick. Possibly from a MBA rapier (Burgess Group IV; Rowlands Class 3), though rounded midrib illustrated may suggest a sword. Found with a metal detector (S1).
