Full Description
2015: Archaeological monitoring revealed four pit features. One of these pits contained a quantity of medieval pottery which was disturbed by later post medieval refuse pits. The finds recovered from these later pits suggested a 19th century date. A large assemblage of clay pipe was recovered, some of which relate to pipe makers in Bury St Edmunds on High Baxter Street (S1).
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2015 (S2).
