Full Description
A single north east to south west aligned ditch running at a slight angle across the north-west end of the site was identified. This was 1.6m wide and 0.72m deep and the profile showed a steep slope on the north side and a gentle slope on the south, with a concave base. Three sherds of Roman pottery and a single fragment of Roman tegula were identified in the fill of the ditch. The finds and ditch are of possible 1st to 2nd century date (S1).
