Full Description

2016: Trial trench evaluation identified two possible quarry pits, likely dug to extract the natural chalks. No other significant archaeological features were revealed and the trenching generall confirmed the results of the geophysical survey. The lack of finds identified by the evaluation suggests that this are has primarily remained, relatively, uninhabited (S1).
