Full Description
Two Anglo-Saxon sunken-featured buildings identified at former Unilever site during evaluation trenching and excavation. One of the SFB’s was located in the middle of the area enclosed by the ring ditch and cut into a possible burial dated to the Bronze Age. Five sherds of Early to Middle Anglo-Saxon pottery were recovered as was a bone comb of possible Anglo-Saxon date (S1).
