A preaching cross was erected at Cornhill, Ipswich, in 1510 by Edmund Daundy on the site of the Market Cross which replaced it in 1628. For details of the twenty-eight foot diameter cross see illustration. In 1694 a statue of Justice was erected on the summit of the cross; presented to the town by Francis Nugent MP.
