Please read our .

Summary

A possible ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It may mark the site of a Bronze Age round barrow, or perhaps a prehistoric round house. It lies within an extensive area of fragmentary cropmarks (HLY 161), interpreted as field boundaries and trackways surrounding a multi-period settlement site 300m to the northeast (HLY 006). Some of the ditches in the immediate vicinity of the ring ditch could define an enclosure around it.
