Full Description

February 2016. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
A circular pillbox, probably of First World War date, is visible as an extant structure on 1940s aerial photographs (S1)-(S2). It is one of a pair of pillboxes sited along the B1083 to the southwest of Shottisham; the second, STT 073, lay 150m to the south. Their circular plan is typical of First World War pillboxes, but a Second World War date cannot be ruled out. More recent photographs indicate that both have since been removed.
