Full Description
2016: A number of undated features were recorded across the site, consisting of a pit, ditch and possible further pit or floor deposit. The larger pit may have been a speculative quarry feature, although it was not fully exposed so its exact purpose is unclear. The smaller pit may have been related to a footprint of a building visible on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map dated to 1904. One of the deposits was interpreted as a possible continuation of the moat (S1).
