Full Description

Excavation revealed two roads or trackways was revealed formed out of ditches. One dated to the 11th century with the second dating to the 13th to 14th century. A Large possible waste disposal or extraction pit of medieval date was also excavated. Undated former enclosures or strip field ditches were also excavated. These fore part of a wider landscape of Late Saxon and Medieval occupation features across Sites 1, 2 and 3 (S1).
