Monument record PLY 047 - Bronze Age cremations and pits and undated linear ditch at East Anglia One Site 15

2017: Excavation revealed a linear feature which formed part of a field drain along with two pits containing Bronze Age pottery. Four further pits observed during excavation were observed to contain fragments of cremated bone, potentially representing the remains of cremation burials. Charcoal recovered from two of these potential cremation pits were radiocarbon dated to the Middle and Late Bronze Age Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2017 (S1).
