Full Description

An evaluation identified a late mediveal to post medieval rubbish pit. The pit contained two distinct fills from two deposition events. Residual pottery was present as well as late medieval/post-medieval CBM and pottery, ther was also a large assemblage of animal bone including the remains of two dogs and the foot bones and hooves from a single small or juvenile horse. Three cow horn cores provide evidence of butchery and potentially the tanning industry (S1) (S2).
