Full Description

2019: The site was intended to be a watching brief, but sufficient features were revealed to justify the deployment of a small excavation team under strip, map and excavate conditions. The investigation revealed 15 pits, 2 gullies and 13 ditches. Five broad periods of activity were identified extending from the Neolithic/Early Bronze Age through to post-medieval. The most significant dated to the Mid to Late Iron Age and appeared to relate to settlement edge activities (S1).
