Summary

The earthworks of two possible mounds, which may represent the remains of Bronze Age round barrows, are on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. Although it must be noted that other undulations are visible in the area and it is possible that that low mounds relate to natural features or spoil heaps from historic extraction activity. The more prominent of the two mounds is cut by a track on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map indicating it is at least post medieval in date.

The earthworks of two possible mounds, which may represent the remains of Bronze Age round barrows, are on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data (S1). Although it must be noted that other undulations are visible in the area and it is possible that that low mounds relate to natural features or spoil heaps from historic extraction activity. The more prominent of the two mounds is cut by a track on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map (S2) indicating it is at least post medieval in date.
