Full Description
Archaeological evaluation identified three ditch segments, two of which are likely to be part of the same feature. The features are undated but appear to predate late 19th century mapping. The ditches coincide with linear feature recorded by the NMP (S1).
A second phase of evaluation trenching identified threee features, comprising of a ring ditch and two ditches believed to be part of a field system of unknown date (S2).
A small evaluation, comprising two trenches, was undertaken in advance of a new caravan park. A likely Bronze Age ring-ditch and two undated ditches were identified, all of which related to features identified as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S3).
