Full Description

Area of pasture, formerly a green. 1840 Tithe Map gives the following field names (N-S). First Long Commons, Further Long Commons, Acre Pightle and Cockers Green. Thorpe Hall lies at the N end ; a small moated site (MDM 002) lay on the E side, Grove Cottage lies at the S end and Thorpe Cottage lies on the W side (S1).
