Full Description
January 2020. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
An area of possible low ridges, of an unknown date, are seen as earthworks on visualised lidar data (from a survey flown in 2015) (S1). It is possible that these ridges may have related to an area of medieval to post medieval ridge and furrow, possible post medieval or modern tree planting, or other modern forestry features. The low ridges are approximately north west- south east aligned and are similar to further possible undated ridges approximately 200m to the east (WSW 202). A number of earthwork post medieval boundary banks (including IKL 159) can be seen on the visualised lidar data in amongst the ridges; however the boundary banks have not been mapped as they are mapped in good detail on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (S2).
