Summary

Five probable Second World War training features are seen as earthworks on aerial photographs and visualised Lidar data. These features consist of four large depressions surrounded by roughly V-shaped banks with a further smaller embanked depression located in close proximity. The features are in close proximity to a Second World War bombing range (IKL 353) to the east. The features are presently under an area of forestry and can be seen clearly on the visualised Lidar data.

July 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Five probable Second World War training features are seen as earthworks on aerial photographs and visualised Lidar data (S1-S2). These features consist of four large depressions surrounded by roughly V-shaped banks with a further smaller embanked depression located in close proximity (located at TL 8170 7641). The features are in close proximity to a Second World War bombing range (IKL 353 ) to the east. The features are presently under an area of forestry and can be seen clearly on the visualised Lidar data.
