Full Description
July 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Five probable Second World War training features are seen as earthworks on aerial photographs and visualised Lidar data (S1-S2). These features consist of four large depressions surrounded by roughly V-shaped banks with a further smaller embanked depression located in close proximity (located at TL 8170 7641). The features are in close proximity to a Second World War bombing range (IKL 353 ) to the east. The features are presently under an area of forestry and can be seen clearly on the visualised Lidar data.
