Full Description

Whole field covered with brickmaking debris with no obvious concentrations - unknown if this represents kilns or the dumping of waste from the kilns at the foot of the hill (MDM 073 MDM 074). Spread continues in field on W side track ('Sand Hill' on 1840 Tithe Map). Large deep pond screened by trees may be a clay pit (S1).
