Summary

The cropmarks of a ring ditch are visible on aerial photographs. It seems most likely that this ring ditch represent the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, although it is also feasible that it represents a roundhouse or agricultural associated with the surrounding field system and other cropmarks recorded under ADT 099.

Full Description

Circular ring ditch circa 25m diameter. Traces of small pit-like feature in centre. Two breaks in the circle, one may be the result of agriculture, another suggesting a causewayed entrance (S1).

April 2016. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks of this previously recorded ring ditch have been mapped from aerial photographs (S1). It seems most likely that this ring ditch represent the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, although it is also feasible that it represents a roundhouse or agricultural associated with the surrounding field system and other cropmarks recorded under ADT 099.
