Monument record ELV 194 - Possible post medieval boundary banks.

Please read our .

Summary

Multiple banks, of a possible post medieval date, are seen as earthworks (which have since been levelled) on aerial photographs. The banks most likely relate to a series of post medieval boundaries not mapped on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. It is possible that some of the banks may have related to post medieval park and garden features associated with Elveden hall (ELV 009). The banks can be seen as earthworks in the 1940s and are presumed to have been levelled as the features are not visible on recent (2016) aerial photographs.
